Ned Barnes | Managing Partner
Mr Barnes earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Charleston.
Ned’s background started with office management and leasing for a small firm in Charleston, SC. He went on to work for Edens & Avant as a senior leasing agent and ended his corporate gig as a director of leasing with a public REIT.
2002 marked the formation of the Crosland Barnes Group. This small company had big aspirations and achieved its goal of becoming a national retail development firm representing numerous Fortune 500 clients. Today the company has developed properties in 31 states and still continues to grow its footprint.
Ned was a founding member of the City Center Partnership which is a non profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Columbia Central Business District. He held an original board seat for many years. His other volunteer activities include working for the Kershaw County Animal Shelter, the ALPHA Center and the Salvation Army.
BRAD KRITZER | VICE PRESIDENT
Brad recently finished his latest position as the Managing Director at Pegasus Investments, where he headed the firm’s institutional investment sales practice, with a focus on shopping center transactions, including equity and debt investments and net leased transactions. The last 8 years at Pegasus, the company was involved over 300 transactions totaling nearly $2Bn transaction volume, primarily single tenant, net leased retail properties.
He was the Regional Acquisitions Manager in New York at Equity One, Inc. (NYSE: EQY),starting in 2012. He also managed the company’s Outparcel Disposition Program and handled the asset management of two joint venture portfolios.
Prior to Equity One, Brad was a former Asset Manager in New York at Kimco Realty (NYSE: KIM), where he was the asset manager for a portfolio of 120 centers owned in an institutional joint venture. Before Kimco, he spent four years on Wall Street in the equity research group at Merrill Lynch in New York, where he covered the REIT sector and was primarily responsible for covering publicly traded retail and industrial REITs.
Brad received a B.S. in Business Administration, with a focus on Business Process Management and Operations Management, from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2002.
J.P. Scurry | SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
J.P. earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University and an IMBA from the University of South Carolina. He worked in investment banking prior to starting his commercial real estate career. J.P. worked at Colliers International for 16 years becoming a principal. While at Colliers, J.P. brokered over $140 million of income-producing properties and executed more than 125 buyer/tenant representative assignments for clients like Five Guys, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Blue Cross Blue Shield. J.P. specializes in advisory, brokerage and development services.
J.P. serves on the South Carolina CCIM Board of Directors, the Heathwood Hall Episcopal School Board of Directors and the Columbia Museum of Art Finance Committee.
SCOTTIE S. Hughes | SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Scottie earned a bachelor’s degree from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. She focuses on landlord and tenant representation services primarily in the retail, restaurant and hospitality industries around the Southeast, as well as provides advisory and development services for existing and new clients. Before joining Crosland Barnes Group in 2019, Scottie previously worked for Colliers International as a Senior Brokerage Associate from 2012-2019 and at the S.C. House of Representatives Republican Caucus as the Director of Membership and Events from 2007-2012.
Scottie serves on the Nickelodeon Theater Board of Directors, First Citizens Advisory Board, ULI S.C. Midlands Executive Committee, Historic Columbia Advisory Council, ICSC Public and Private Partnership committee, and is a volunteer for Junior Achievement of South Carolina.
MARY DAMERON MILLIKEN | GENERAL COUNSEL
Mary Dameron Milliken earned a bachelor's degree in Business Economics from Wofford College and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Mary Dameron has concentrated her practice in real estate transactions, development, and litigation law.
During her legal career, she has primarily worked with commercial and residential real estate developers. Mary Dameron Milliken now serves as General Counsel to Crosland Barnes Group, overseeing the legal team handling leasing, legal due diligence, purchase and sale agreements, and all matters contractual.
Cindy Mirt | Administrative Manager
Cindy has been with the Crosland Barnes Group for 13 years, overseeing all the administrative functions in the capacity of Administrative Manager. She directly handles all financial matters, including accounts payable, payroll, insurance, and banking. She helps with the company's many projects working alongside and supporting the office team.
CELESTE LAND, INTERN
Celeste Land is a rising senior at the University of North Carolina pursuing degrees in Political Science and History. She is interning with Crosland Barnes Group for summer 2021, assisting with project development and marketing.
